Today we are on a local walk in Coleshill! We’ve been learning all about the history of Coleshill so we are so excited to walk over Cole Bridge 🤩

Today we took part in the great science share. We had so much fun exploring chemistry! We made our very own cornflour slime, then we observed fizzy chemical reactions 🧪🤩 @HMC_School @GreatSciShare

Not everyday show and tell involves a musical performance! How lucky we are to have such talented and brave Year 1’s like this Blackbird! 🥰🤩🎻🎼

We had the most wonderful first afternoon back yesterday exploring @GillianHibbs story ‘Errol’s Garden’ through our No Outsiders lesson. We role played ways to ask for help from neighbours, then explored what different neighbours may look like! 🤩 @moffat_andrew @HMC_School

This blackbird went home and immediately put her new skills to good use! We love fruit in Year 1 😊

We then went on to the best bit… making our very own fruit salads. The children and I agreed that the evaluation was our favourite part of the lesson… EATING! 🍌 🍇 🍓

This week we have been exploring fruit and vegetables! Once we had worked on food hygiene we moved on to design and create our own fruit artwork! Chopping apples, grapes and salad leaves we made our creations 🍎
