I'm being required to use AI to write code even when the AI admits that I'm better at writing code than it is.

@venuparande They actually admit that 😂 I teach programming at an elementary school and a student told me while demonstrating OOP GPT used my exact superhero example from my C++ tutorial

@nicknosewicz Here it admits my code is better again: AI : It makes perfect sense to go back to your original code. That way we remove the "noise" that causes the optimizer to crash or produce nonsense results. This is my life now. Even when I show the employer that the AI says I'm better

@nicknosewicz I think it is largely nonsense. I have been writing code for about 40 years. Thankfully I can still write code better than any AI I have come across and yet I'm forced by employers to use AI. It is especially painful when I'm forced to use AI with lesser known languages

Is your street buried in snow because the plow can't squeeze past the cars? Use a little common sense and get everyone on the block to help shovel! It’ll take a little over an hour, and you might actually enjoy meeting your neighbors for once. Or just stay stuck until April.
