On the Day of Judgment, when deeds are weighed on the scales, the servant will search for anything that can increase his good deeds and make his scale heavy. Do you know what will be the heaviest thing on the scale that day?

Imām ar-Rāzī رحمه الله said: "What I have experienced throughout my life is that whenever a person relies on anything other than God in any matter, it becomes a cause of affliction, hardship, distress, and calamity.

Our Nabi (peace be upon him) said: "Look at those who are below you and do not look at those who are above you. That is more likely to keep you from belittling the blessings Allah has given you." - Muslim 2963. Thankfulness is not a feeling that arrives automatically when things go well. It's a discipline - a deliberate act of redirecting your attention. Imam An-Nawawi commented on this hadith at length. The default direction of the human eye is upward, toward what others have, toward what you lack. The Prophet is telling us to consciously flip that. Not as self-deception, but as a correction of your actual perception of reality. You have things right now that someone else is making supplication for. That is not a small statement. The question is not whether you have reasons to be grateful. It's whether you're looking for them.

Talk to your mother lovingly. Talk to your father respectfully. Talk to your wife truthfully. Talk to your brother heartily. Talk to your sister affectionately. Talk to your friends jovially. Talk to officials politely. Talk to customers honestly.

Sahabah asked the Prophet ﷺ: 'if only we knew which form of wealth is best, so that we might acquire it.' He ﷺ replied: 'The best of it is a tongue ever-engaged in remembrance (Dhikr), a heart overflowing with gratitude (Shakir), and a believing wife who assists him in his faith (Iman).'" Sunan al-Tirmidhi (No. 3094).

@dua_hub If you’re struggling with temptation, this is for you. “O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency.” Repost this so it reaches someone silently fighting zina. May Allah strengthen us all.

Shaytaan has three steps with zina. First make it seem small. Then make it seem normal. Then make you feel too far gone for tawbah. If you're at step three that's the most dangerous lie he tells. Don't believe it.

When things go wrong, it doesn’t mean Allah left you. It may mean He’s guiding you to something better.
