Example live now: With spot below zero-gamma (6657) and near the negative wall ~6643, we’re still in negative gamma, so moves tend to extend. Unless we reclaim zero-gamma soon, the close likely gravitates toward the lower liquidity pocket / 6640s area rather than pinning higher.

@joshthebanker @OptionsDepth Simple use if you want: above gamma flip → mean reversion (buy dips / sell rips), below flip → momentum (buy strength / sell weakness). Large gamma strikes often act as magnets in positive gamma.

@joshthebanker @OptionsDepth They’re effectively showing the same thing. All are dealer positions. A gamma profile and dealer positioning both derive from the same inputs (OI, gamma, spot). One visualises gamma concentration by strike, the other dealer net exposure, but the implications are the same.
