We contrast these findings with a large, stable population of the same species, which allows us to identify and explicate the ways in which metapopulation dynamics affect SFS in important and quantifiable ways. (4/4)

We link the shifts to colonization, immigration, and other metapopulation-specific processes. Thus, we demonstrate a novel use of this summary as an indicator of rapid evolution in response to ecology. (3/4)

I'm curious about examples of strong genetic differentiation in eukaryotes on very small scales. I'm helping out on a study of a desert plant species where populations 250m apart separate out cleanly in a PCA. it kind of blows my mind.
