This is the pass rush upside that you can get with Onyedim. Still a long ways to go in that aspect, but the tools are there.

One complaint I have seen a lot is that Denver could have gotten Onyedim in the fifth or sixth round, since that's where he was ranked. The problem with that is that isn't true.
Dane Brugler had him 74th. Daniel Jeremiah 87th. Mel Kiper Jr 109th, and Jordan Reid 112. He went 66.

Onyedim didn’t get much pre-draft hype, but this is fine value
Everyone’s known this draft had a huge plateau of 3rd-rd talent
The most respected media scouts (DJ and Brugler) had him ranked 87th and 74th, and they’re not factoring in specific team fits. Onyedim fits DEN great

I know a lot of Broncos Country will hate the pick, but I personally love it. Have been a big Onyedim fan for a while.

@Tyler_Polumbus We don't know if FO is going to do a JFM trade so moving back would be appealing. As well as JFM panned out I'd assume Denver would be really likely to try it again in day 3 especially.

@DailyBroncos 1st ballot HOF. If Denver doesn't go TE LB with their top pick fans need to learn the FO trend on how we draft. Barron wasn't on radar last year on here it was RB and TE.

I’d be surprised if GM George Paton doesn’t wind up with a second draft pick tonight. #Broncos currently have a low 2nd (62 overall) and nothing else. Two fairly high 4th round picks (108, 111) could help fill 3d round hole.

Nikola Jokic is now 5/24 from 3 in the series. Huge issue for Denver: Jokic shot 32% from 3 ever since his return from injury in January. He was at 44% prior and 42% last year. No matter the cause of the huge decline, the end result is that the 3-pointer has abandoned him for months. It’s hurting the Nuggets offense since the Timberwolves can sag off Jokic to clog the paint. And Jokic isn’t making up for it since Rudy Gobert is also locking him down any time he’s inside and he’s making uncharacteristic sloppy passes. To make matters worse, he’s not getting stops on defense either. Hard to feel any good about Denver’s chances unless Jokic stops having the worst playoff series of his career.

@MileHighReport With Paton Edge CB S are always on the table with top pick. He loves drafting them. So fans shouldn't be shocked come draft night. Fans need to learn FO trends. He likes Oregon Utah and Oklahome players.
