When I first flew to the USA, the border patrol officer wanted to know exactly where I am staying, how long I am staying and when I'll be flying back home. I had to give the DHS my personal data through the ESTA form. They could have gotten me 24/7 if I overstayed.
This is not about discouraging illegal migration. This is purely overt racism.
