Teachers in Russia’s Chelyabinsk region were instructed to read out an edited version of a speech by Adolf Hitler. Eight out of 12 schools agreed. The stunt was organized by Belarusian activist Vladislav Bokhan, known for previously persuading Russian teachers to wear tinfoil hats as part of the fake "Helmet of the Fatherland" campaign. Bokhan took Hitler’s speech from September 1, 1939, replaced "Danzig" (Gdańsk) with "Donbas," and "Reich" with "Russia," and, posing as representatives of the ruling United Russia party, suggested that teachers record an address to Russian soldiers. As part of his project "Triumph of the Moth," the actionist demonstrates how closely modern Russia aligns with the 14 features of Ur-Fascism described by Umberto Eco. According to Bokhan, 12 out of 14 have already been confirmed through his actions.

In the Kremlin, at least until September, when parliamentary elections are scheduled, officials are trying to avoid the issue of open mobilization. To prevent public discontent, the authorities have established a multi-layered system of covert recruitment. Formally, it is framed as "contracts," "reserves," and "infrastructure protection." But in essence, this is an attempt to compensate for the declining volunteer influx and avoid political risks ahead of the elections. Currently, about a thousand people sign contracts every day, which is roughly 200 fewer than a year ago. If this seemed like a temporary decline during the winter, it is now becoming a systemic trend. For Moscow, this is a signal that the previous pool of people willing to die in Ukrainian tree lines is drying up, and recruitment for money is no longer yielding results. ◾️ Recently, the governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, announced the start of a call-up of reservists to protect the "Leningrad's sky." The goal is to form mobile fire groups composed of men with prior combat experience. They are supposedly to be employed at critical infrastructure enterprises, which they will defend against drones. They are promised special three-year contracts with periodic transfers to barracks. Most likely, this is not Drozdenko's personal initiative, but a "trial run" coordinated with the Russian government. In the near future, other regional leaders (primarily those in border regions) may announce similar decisions. In fact, this involves creating a trained reserve that could be used far more broadly than stated at any moment. Human rights activists warn that there are no special contracts for reservists, and the promise not to send them to the front is a deception. ◾️ Russian higher education minister Valery Falkov has set a target for universities - at least 2% of their total student body must enlist to serve in the Russian army. This is how the Kremlin plans to recruit an additional 76,000 soldiers. The recruitment mechanism is simple: expulsion for the slightest infractions (failing a test, being late for class, smoking in a prohibited area), followed by an offer - sign a contract and receive a diploma. In Novosibirsk, 14 college students have already been expelled under this mechanism. In Chuvashia, future medics with arrears are being persuaded to take academic leave and go to the front, with promises of reinstatement. Young people are also lured into "unmanned systems forces" with promises of one-year service. However, the contract addenda specify in fine print that the service is indefinite, with no guarantees regarding the military branch. ◾️ The private sector is also feeling the pressure. In Buryatia, the head of the Muysky district, Vladimir Dashiev, is demanding that every enterprise send at least two "volunteers." Refusal is viewed as sabotage. A similar decree has been issued in the Ryazan region: companies are required to send between two and five employees to the war. 🔷 The Kremlin is trying to hold out until September, seizing every opportunity to plug the gaps on the frontline. But the depletion of "volunteers" leaves Moscow facing an inevitable choice after the elections: either a full-scale second wave of mobilization or a shift to a grueling positional warfare.

Five (FIVE) ships of Russia's Black Sea Fleet were under strikes by Ukrainian Defenders in recent days. Wow. All Russian Project 775 large landing ships that were in the bay at the time of the operations were struck by Ukraine. (Ukrainian housewives do have some cards, I might add). After analyzing the available data, we can confirm that five ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet have been struck. ▪️By Special Operations Center "A" of the Security Service of Ukraine (April 17-18): • Large landing ship "Yamal" (Project 775); • Large landing ship "Azov" (Project 775M); • Large reconnaissance ship "Slavutych" (Project 1288.4) - listed in the publication as a "ship of an unidentified type." ▪️By "Prymary" of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence (April 18-19): • Large landing ship "Olshansky" (Project 775) - incorrectly named "Yamal" in the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence publication, satellite imagery and deck paint markings confirm the true identification; • Large landing ship "Nikolai Filchenkov" (Project 1171). In conclusion, all Project 775 large landing ships that were in the bay at the time of the operations were struck.
