i have loved how this season the people who hate eddie or assert that he does not care about buck or others have no legs to stand on. their false accusations of eddie have been written into his antagonists’ words and eddie has disproven them every single time.

i know there’s been some bristling about how the show keeps brining up eddie’s “anger issues” with the lawyer from the abigail arc & the cop in NM but i think the whole point to them bringing it up is so that eddie can disprove them right after and he does every time.

@GregHeffley2011 theyre not cops theyre firefighters, it’s not meteors it was debris from satellites. they do what firefighters do and get everyone to safety while the paramedics help people who are injured. all while “what the heck is that” and “everybody take cover” fuck nasty in the firetruck.

IVE been saying it and I’ll keep saying it 911onfox was never going to do buddie and THEYVE stated numerous times 911onabc started the buddie storyline immediately on the first episode of s7 when buck told Eddie IVE never seen someone turn a woman off like that.‼️ it’s a gift.😌

@email_eddie_ Plus as a vet in a combat zone, it’s almost impossible not to be on edge and have labile moods in stressful situations, yet he gets back to a calm place so fast.

@dayylight I think it laid the groundwork for there to be tension beneath their interactions for the whole season. It’s building toward them having to talk about how they both shut each other down about Bobby’s death in the kitchen and not really discussing the impact of Eddie going to TX

@jeggy112 I don’t think younger people realize how lucky we are to have this type of story on a network show. For a procedural ensemble to have so many scenes throughout the years dedicated to developing these two character’s relationship is almost unheard of.
