@rileybrown3d I previously had a prebuilt from NZXT that worked great for years. Now I have a Corsair prebuilt which has been great so far using blender everyday.

What’s a good prebuilt performance desktop? I’m about done fighting this. I’ve replaced about every part through the years. I don’t have time for this 🤦‍♂️ This isn’t my hobby, it’s my family’s livelihood.

Some new work to share! I worked on this trailer for Elgato’s newest internal capture card. The high speed video signal effects were super fun to design. Working in 4K60 was hell of a challenge 🥵

@patrickgalagher That's really interesting 🤔do you think you'd still try to stick 45-60sec range or would that style afford you more time to slow down the pace? If I were watching reels, I think seeing such a different approach would make me watch the whole thing, no matter the length

I might replace the music in my next reel with just a VO of me talking about the kinda work I wanna do

I'm proud of a lot of the details that went into this but my favorite is the geometry nodes-driven lens ring model. Probably over-engineered but extremely satisfying.

@XpectMotion @pointzero Definitely depends on what you're doing. There's one called Smart Select, which I can't live without for modeling. BB Nodes is an awesome Geo Nodes Addon that I recently picked up. Alpha Trees, Geo-Scatter, and Botaniq are an epic trio for nature scenes.

@RO_Motion @pointzero This is so cool Ross. I saw in one of your replies that add-ons are a must. Curious what add-ons you think are necessary or super helpful? 👀

We at @pointzero transitioned over to Blender (from C4D) over the last year and aside from some small inconveniences, it’s been really great for us! If you’ve also switched, or just tried #b3d out, how’s it going? Were there any deal breakers?
