We will raise your voices through our organisation so that you are being heard by maternity care providers. Raham Project was created by 2 British Asian WOMEN, who felt brave enough to start a conversation that matters.

International Women's Day, is a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It is celebrated on 8 March around the world.

This will help you relax more easily when you go into labour.

In pregnancy, it is useful to try and get into the habit of spending a little time each day where you just put some relaxing music on or a guided relaxation (there are many on youtube) and just focus on your breathing and your baby.

Many women find it helpful during their pregnancy to use positive affirmations. Some find it helpful to write them on cards and have them around their home so they can see them on a daily basis.

Plus, positive thoughts tend to cultivate positive feelings, which may help to make your pregnancy experience more enjoyable and relaxed. - Verywell Family

Pregnancy affirmations for all mamas out there 💜 Some studies suggest that affirmations can reduce stress and anxiety—which can make it easier to rest, eat, and avoid issues such as headaches and fatigue.

Treatments: * paracetamol (unless it is not advised by the Dr) * stronger pain relief available on prescription if necessary * cold and heat rubs/patches available over the counter

✨Wear flat shoes this evenly distributes your weight ✨Get enough rest, especially later in pregnancy ✨Use a hot water bottle (at a comfortable temperature for you) ✨Use a firm supportive mattress ✨Back massage and warm baths

Back pain - This is very common in pregnancy as your ligaments naturally become softer and stretch to prepare you for birth, this can put strain on the joints of your lower back and pelvis causing the back pain.

If lifestyle and dietary changes don’t resolve the constipation then Laxatives can treat constipation, but speak to a doctor or pharmacist before you take them during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding.

✅ Avoid iron tablets that make you constipated - if you need to take iron tablets, talk to your GP about the best type for you to avoid these side affects.

The hormonal changes in your body may cause you to become constipated early on in pregnancy.
