It astonishes me that Sonic Team went from modern Pokémon-tier cutscene quality (and Frontiers still somehow looks less shit than modern Pokémon) to nearly Insomniac Games cutscene quality with Shadow Generations

‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’ is the biggest movie trailer launch of all time with 718.6M views. ‘DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE’ is second with 365M views.

I get he cracks a fortnite dance or makes a pop culture reference but for every one of those, you get one of these really like actually touching moments. Thing is the purpose of movie sonic is the same purpose sonic has in the games. He changes everyone around him. (they do it in a different way of course but as far as narrative purpose its the same ball park)
