My ex and I broke up, but then spent months in this weird situationship where we were basically acting like we were together again. He told me he loved me constantly, stayed at my apartment all the time, slept with me, acted emotionally committed, etc. Then one day I found out he had been sleeping with/building something with someone else during that same period. It completely destroyed me mentally and emotionally because the entire time I thought we were rebuilding trust and moving toward getting back together again. After I found out, we’ve been no contact for weeks, and then today he randomly sends me the text in the screenshot.

Today they're married with children. At the time, it felt like my life was ending. Instead, it was beginning. I packed up my dog, moved to Los Angeles, and started over from scratch. The years that followed were lonely, uncertain, and often frightening. I was managing a life-threatening illness while rebuilding everything. But I also built a rescue that saved thousands of dogs. I made music. I wrote. I created a life that belonged to me. Sometimes people ask me where my resilience comes from. The truth is that resilience is what people call you after you've run out of other options. P.s. I filed a complaint with the TPS, the woman detective was suspended for forgetting to press charges, and I got a letter of apology. *shrug*

The final straw came when he beat my dog in front of me. I filed for divorce. I went to police. Charges weren't pursued at the time. Later, after lawyers became involved, police acknowledged mistakes had been made. When I finally got him out of my life, he moved into the apartment below mine with the woman who lived across the hall. He refused to acknowledge or sign the divorce papers. I would eventually learn they had been having an affair for years when the police caught him violating the R/O

I was married for a few months in 2020. What most people don't know is that the physical abuse started long before the wedding. I tried to get help. I told therapists. Some denied I'd ever said anything at all. I was becoming critically ill from an undiagnosed neuroendocrine disease. I had no diagnosis, no explanation, and no agency. I declined the proposal three times. I married him anyway because I was scared. At the wedding the groom disappeared. I walked back to the hotel alone. He was with someone else, or other people. A month later, I was diagnosed with lymphocytic hypophysitis and secondary adrenal insufficiency. As treatment began, so did my ability to think clearly again.

My husband came home from work one evening looking nervous, which immediately put me on edge. I assumed it was something financial or work-related. It wasn’t. He admitted he’d been having an affair. Before I could even process that, he told me the woman had gotten pregnant. Then he dropped the real bombshell. She had recently given birth, but there were serious complications and she didn’t survive. The baby did. I just sat there staring at him. In the span of a few minutes, my marriage had completely fallen apart, and now there was an innocent newborn caught in the middle of it. Then he said something I’ll never forget. “There’s nobody else to take the baby. I was hoping…….

My mother-in-law lives with us… and she makes sure I don’t have sex with her son. I know how that sounds. But I’m not exaggerating. Every time my husband and I try to have intimacy, something happens. Every single time….. 1/4

I’ve seen more short men get married than tall men. Since all the women prefer tall men.. who are the ones settling with these short men?

When Sarah noticed thousands of dollars missing from their savings account, she feared the worst. An affair. A gambling problem. A secret life. One evening, after weeks of checking bank statements, she finally confronted her husband, David. "What are you spending all this money on?" she demanded. David stared at the floor before quietly replying, "I can explain." What he told her left her speechless.

My mother-in-law started asking me deeply personal questions about my sex life and fertility plans out of nowhere. Not once. Not gently. Just a rapid-fire interrogation. “Are you ovulating?” “When is your next period?” “Are you still trying for a baby?” I was so shocked I couldn’t even respond…. 1/4

Men don’t realize this… The difference between a ‘peaceful home’ and a ‘cold home’ is not money. It’s how intentional you are with your wife when nobody is clapping for you…

I was an event coordinator and about two weeks into the job I had badly miscommunicated with a vendor about the number of chairs needed for a corporate event. We were 40 chairs short the morning of, with guests arriving in three hours.
My senior colleague found out, looked at me for exactly one second, said “okay” and then just started making calls.

The old man at table seven ordered the same meal every Friday for twelve years. Then one day, he didn't show up."** Nobody noticed at first. The restaurant was busy, as it always was on Friday nights. Families filled the booths. Couples celebrated birthdays. Waiters rushed between tables carrying trays of food while the kitchen shouted orders over the noise. But around 7:15 p.m., I looked toward the corner by the window and realized something felt wrong. Table seven was empty. For twelve years, the old man had arrived at exactly seven o'clock every Friday evening. Not 6:58. Not 7:02. Exactly seven. He would walk through the front door wearing a neatly pressed brown coat, nod politely to everyone, and sit at the same table. He always ordered the same meal. Roast chicken. Mashed potatoes. A cup of black coffee.
