@Bellesprout_ I always end up preferring more relaxed streams when I watch them. Tho I also worry about boring people when I go quiet during my own.

This is probably a super silly question but how does everyone feel about more chill streamers? I get silly/unhinged for sure but I'm more soft spoken and not high energy with a monotoneish voice and I worry I'm not exciting enough ;; Idk just feelin feelings about it wanted input

uh huh. I've heard it before tho. people are weird. There's so many that seem to believe so firmly in a superficial interpretation of the phrase "Birds of a feather flock together" that they forget the concept of individualism. I had someone once be confused when I said I don't like homeless folk. She couldn't grasp how me, once having been in a homeless shelter, could hate homeless people. It's so backwards.

As an autistic person myself, I found it annoying when people tried saying that we shouldn't use "high functioning" or "Low functioning" because the former set normal folk's expectations too high in relation to how normal we are, and the latter was just outright offensive. So then I tried to say "High spectrum" vs "Low spectrum" and it was even more confusing. Everyone had a different idea of what it meant. SO I decided, fuck it, I'm using the original terms. They're basically self explanatory. I hate when language gets policed so hard that we end up running in circles in order to be understood or to understand one another.

heh, ever had someone be like "oh you should meet (name here)! he/she's also autistic! You guys will totally get along!" Like... are you fucking serious? Nah, most of the time, I hate being around other autistic people. The lower functioning they are, the less I wanna be around them. The rigidness and stubbornness makes it so fucking frustrating, as well as the monotonous speech. not all have it of course. hell some of us are over expressive - like me.

Noone is gonna stop me from saying "high functioning". When these people show they are interested in learning, I'll make sure they know about the different levels on the spectrum and that no autistic person is the same. Especially if they mention "I know someone with autism". Don't let people stop you from saying what you want to say or the way you want to say it. If they want to take offense, let them, it's just words. x
