@RedKnight818 @Okla_Hombre Well, even w/ the min wage at 7.25 prices are still going up anyway. Average hourly wage needed to afford basic needs in both cities is $20/hr. Much more than 7.25, but I think it just shows that cost of living is increasing much to fast regardless of wage values.

95 percent of the people that voted against this bill are the ones that would have to pay for it. And before you counter with “prices and costs don’t go up” show us where it hasn’t? Real empirical data . Why not $50, $75 or $100 dollars an hour increase if raising minimum wage doesn’t affect anything? Why $15 an hour over 3 years? Because it does impact. And final point - you aren’t supposed to stay in a 7.25, 12, or 15 dollars an hour job. You use that to gain experience and move into higher roles that pay more. If you lack ambition to move up, why should tax payers subsidize you?

So you assume if a person lives in the city they are smarter and better informed than rural voters. Interesting. See I think they have it figured out in Oklahoma. Cities create dependency on the government by their very nature. Group think is common in city settings. Affluence attracts influence and vice versa. When you live rurally and remove yourself from the idiot group think and are more reliant on yourself and not the government, a person will undoubtedly become more independent and by logical transformation become more conservative. Of course there are some idiot liberals out in the country, sure. But they can’t use numbers there to influence and force others into their ridiculous ideologies. The rural citizens are who provide for this country, defend this country and to date, are the ones putting up with your dumbass. They haven’t tried killing your leaders like do ours. So as politely as I can possible say it - get fucked.
