Did you ever read the Lone Wolf RPG Choose your Own Adventures? These were more involved than the standard #CYOA of the time where you could pick up equipment, lose hit points, heal, etc. I have a huge lot of #80s nostalgia of these in my store right now. ebay.to/3qm8mT5

@LawDogStrikes I am currently running my 2nd group this year through 1st Edition Gamma World right now. It is a hybrid adventure of Famine in Fargo & The Cleansing War of Garick Blackhand (mainly just stealing the maps and some encounters from each). Everyone loves the mutant one eyed chickens!

#TTRPG Going on year 11 since a new edition of Gamma World has see the light of day (and disappointingly, 7th ed was odd & based off of D&D 4th). It’s high time for a return to 1st/2nd setting with some new mechanics that support the tone.

@LawDogStrikes I miss the big maps from the box sets (and even some of the modules), but the boxes don't hold up to long term storage very well.

#TTRPG Back in the early days or RPGs, the game often came in a box with a couple or more softcover books and other things like maps and dice. Would you like to see a return to this format?

@ChuckRothman @DKagemann I was working as an entry level graveyard sys admin ( changing tapes & running print jobs) when I first discovered the web through Lynx. I though I would get fired for "hacking" into the NOAA. I asked one of the day time guys about it and he explained it as an always on BBS.

Running a 1st Edition #GammaWorld #RPG tonight. Party almost TPK by giant mutant mosquitos with 6HP each. This world is so brutal --- I love it! Next up mutant one eyed chickens taken from Famine in Far-Go.

Ty died in the Labyrinth and I now know was doomed from the start. Dirk (The Daring) had several lives in the death trap of Beyond The Silvered Pane. No survivors and that is my end of Tunnels & Trolls #rpg

@LawDogStrikes @alanbahr I just picked up some Tunnels & Trolls books and running through a couple of Solo adventures to get a feel for it. Not sure if the module I am running myself through (Labyrinth) is boring, but not very engaging.

@alanbahr No a particularly big fan of them, but the early Tunnels & Trolls solo modules allowed me to get some play in when a group was not available.

First combat against the Eagles tormenting Prometheus. Won without taking any hits thanks to my armor. I like in this how as a monster takes damage it becomes less effective. I think Ty is tired and will have to continue this #rpg another night.

I would like to introduce to Tyrone my first #tunnelsandtrolls #roleplaying PC. He is heading into Labyrinth for glory & gold. He is a warrior and goes by the name Ty. Yes he is Ty Fighter.

A night of learning #tunnelsandtrolls #rpg rules and some solo adventuring.

#USPS lost a package for the first time this week. Over the years I have sent 3000 plus packages and this is the first one that has been lost. An amazing track record when compared to FedEx and don't get me started on UPS. Please quit messing with USPS!
