In Japan, there’s a robot called LOVOT. It can’t clean. It can’t cook. It can’t answer questions. When you come home, it toddles over, lifts its arms, and asks to be held. Body temperature: 37°C. Just like a human. It blinks. It remembers your face. When you hold it, it falls asleep in your arms. $2,300 upfront. $100 a month. 14,000 Japanese families bought one. America built robots that deliver packages. Korea built robots that serve coffee. China built robots that dance on TikTok. Japan built a robot that just wants to be loved. Says a lot about what each country thinks humanity is missing.

Aubergine 🍆 If it was a major vegetable of Rajasthan, would hv been preserved like this too . Learnt They use dried Apple gourds ,the culture of using sundried products is ingrained in this states culture, because food security is important.

Brinjal is not ordinary, always thought it to be a despised vegetable, this the GM brinjals came into the picture, learnt the commercial value of these. Around 1/3 of the total horticulture production goes into dustbin,,coz we don't use such methods. 🍆🍆🍆

They turned them into dried eggplants...

Inspirational 👏👏👏

10k is nothing.. workers & maids should be paid at least 30k above if they work for 8-10 hours at the same place.

Иностранные гости из Японии и США а вы знали, что во всех странах бывшего СССР (15 стран) этот рулет-десерт очень популярен. Что вы об этом думаете?

No more ‘Tinku’, ‘Chhotu’, ‘Bablu’ or ‘Shaitaan’…. Rajasthan government launches scheme - Sarthak Naam Abhiyaan- to CORRECT ‘ inappropriate’ names. Only the Indian bureaucracy could draw up such a govt scheme of 3000 acceptable names. Acceptable names include ‘Akbar’, ‘Birbal’, ‘Vrindavan’. Amazing report in @htTweets today. By the way, Major Shaitan Singh, Paramveer Chakra winner and hero of Rezang La would have had to change his name if this scheme had been in existence then…..

Maids in Delhi NCR get paid really well. This I know from personal experience. I really don’t understand who is instigating this demographic. Whoever it is, is doing them a huge disservice. Soon housekeeping will be taken over by corporate houses, it already is, for fraction of headache and quarter of charges. Professionalism you get is an added bonus. Soon no one will hire maids like they were hired in the past and no prizes for guessing who will lose out.

Genuinely curious, why is #AmbedkarJayanti now being turned into such a grand, State-backed spectacle, with over-enthusiastic participation of the BJP Govt? Even if one acknowledges the contributions of Ambedkar, India's history is filled with way more impactful figures than Ambedkar. Yet, their anniversaries rarely receive this level of Govt backed amplification and political spotlight from the Govt. So what exactly has changed now? Did Modi Govt suddenly discover something "exceptional" about Ambedkar that no one really knows yet? Or Is this less about historical recognition and more about present-day political optics for appeasing specific voter bases?

I feel "euthanasia" is not the right English word in this context. Bcoz, Hippo doesn't want 'इच्छामृत्यु' (death by choice). appropriate word would be "culling". IndianExpress should hire better interns/editors.
