Fikile Mbalula Defends ANC Decision to Remove Douglas Maimane Over Alleged R200,000 Plot With Opposition
ANC SG Fikile Mbalula has defended the ANC’s decision to remove Douglas Maimane as mayor of Madibeng, insisting the party has the full political authority to deploy and recall its cadres without being required to provide explanations or face legal challenges.
Maimane was removed after a leaked audio recording allegedly captured him discussing a R200,000 payment to opposition councillors to campaign against the ANC, and reportedly engaging with opposition figures in an attempt to undermine the party’s position in the municipality

SY MAMABOLO - IEC BOSS
Young persons in South Africa dont participate in elections not because they dont know politics.
It's a conscious decision they take. It's because of their socio-economic situation. They see no tangible outcomes from voting.
[From 27 million registered voters, youth were only accounting to 17% despite veing the majority of population in SA.]
We are targeting them to vote. We are present on social media platforms & schools to encourage them to vote
