@Galaxt1ka I had 10k invested in my 401k and after 10 years only saw an increase of $500. By the time I'm retiring age if that trend continues I'd be at $2300 ish by retiring age..... How do I retire with that. Save on your own.

@Morphologis My videos have also been in a "slump" recently so I feel ya. That said When you're making a "guide" generally people want the information as quickly as possible and leave. You've provided a story telling experience which is not what they've wanted.

Youtube has me feeling frustrated and conflicted. I spent about a week of recording, editing, and researching my video on rock breaker to assemble the highest quality, most cinematic guide I could, but it significantly underperformed like more and more recent videos I made. My crafting video took just a day, with some off camera testing that I related over b-roll I had saved in my drive from other filming experiences. It significantly outperformed all my other recent videos. The lesson I'm learning is that timing is way more important that quality and thoroughness. My channel won't survive anymore unless I change, and that hurts.

My YouTube channel achieved 1,000,000 views on March 18, 2026! Thank you everyone for your support and for watching the videos. That's crazy. Never did I think I'd ever see that number on my page but here we are.

Two years ago I was ready for a flight home when a undiagnosed stomach ulcer perforated putting me in surgery in the US and a 6 figure medical bill. If it happened 8 hours later I would be dead, even at the point of surgery it was 30% mortality rate with up to 50% in month after
