We speculate that dynamics-buffering may contribute to functional robustness of cellular condensates. To know more, check out our recent preprint. We thank @HymanLab and @PappulabWashU for helpful discussions.

We show that weak interactions among two or more components can buffer the diffusion rate of a scaffold protein at steady levels in spite of changing conditions. We call this "dynamics-buffering". Neither chaperones, nor ATP-dependent activity of RNA helicase are required.
