$WODE now enters the forest as a Rooted token. Its trade shall feed an adaptive basket of up to ten of Scherwode’s strongest graduates, making it, in time, the graduate index of the forest. Rooted tokens turn the passage of trade into lasting strength. They begin as all Scherwode launches do, upon the bonding curve, and in time graduate into a Uniswap v4 pool whose liquidity is locked beyond recall. Yet a Rooted market does not leave the road empty behind it. A small portion of every trade passes into Root Capital, there to acquire and hold its chosen Roots. The upgrade timer has started! We have proposed the next RootedHook implementation so existing Rooted tokens, including the live $WODE market, can support creator fee ranges. The new implementation has already been deployed, allowlisted by the Safe, and formally proposed for upgrade. That proposal started the built-in 24-hour delay. Until the timer clears, nothing changes. The current hook remains live, and $WODE continues trading as usual. Once the 24 hours are up, we switch the live hook to the new implementation and run a live $WODE swap to confirm the canopy still works as expected. Only then do we continue the limited beta. Wild V4 gives new launches a direct path into Uniswap v4. Our new Creator fee ranges change how post-graduation fees work. New Rooted graduates will use that same fee-range system. Rooted creates remain gated behind an allowlist and an explicit enable flag. Public permissionless creates are not open yet. ---------- What is a creator fee range? On most launchpads, trading continues to generate LP fees after a token graduates into a pool. Some of those fees are collected in quote, such as WETH. That value can be claimed directly by the creator. The rest is collected in the launched token itself. This is where most launchpads create a problem. The creator receives loose token inventory, and the only way to extract its value is to sell it back into the same market they are supposed to be building. How many tokens have you seen crater after a creator claims? We propose a different path. Instead of handing those tokens directly to the creator, they are placed into a ladder of one-sided sell liquidity above the current market price. As the token trades upward through those ranges, and holds there long enough to satisfy a short TWAP, the positions can close and convert that inventory into additional claimable quote. The market naturally trades into the liquidity. The creator does not need to dump tokens into the chart to realize the value. In short, creator fees become structured liquidity instead of a raw token airdrop. Another site update arriving today. Charts are fixed and now show the entirety of price action from pre-bonding through to graduation and to the present day. Additionally, the root basket display has also been overhauled and will now show it's balance sheet.

Not far off from what we are doing. Instead of pairing a token directly with a stock, each rooted token can accumulate its own basket of assets, including tokenized stocks, through a portion of the rooted tokens traded volume. The token itself stays freely traded, but the market gradually builds an asset base underneath it. Each rooted token becomes its own mini-economy. x.com/Scherwode/stat…

I believe @AJRuecker has cooked something very cool here with this new Robinhood launchpad $wode Completely new mechanics to what we’ve seen before in terms of what a token can be post graduation This in particular is completely new and very very cool:

tldr; $WODE is a normal freely traded token, but every time people trade it, a small amount of value is used to build a separate basket of assets underneath it. You cannot redeem $WODE for that basket, and the token is not pegged to its value. The market still decides what $WODE is worth. Over time, the basket can grow, earn profits, and use those profits to buy and burn $WODE. So trading builds the treasury, and the treasury can eventually create buying pressure and reduce the token supply. Think of it as a meme coin with a permanent savings account growing underneath it.

Most launchpads help a token leave the bonding curve, then abandon it to the market. Scherwode keeps the familiar beginning, but gives every launch a choice over what shall remain after graduation.

Scherwode asks what happens when the market is allowed to keep something after the crowd has gone home. The canopy belongs to the market. The roots belong to time.
