Why isn’t there a central webpage, whereby all job market candidates can upload a link to their papers, websites & topics? Departments could then search for desired specialisms. This would be a fantastic public good, Expanding on the initiative of @jenniferdoleac.

I tried Google's NotebookLM "radio conversation generator" on my paper about taxing robots (the irony!). I was blown away by the results. Are robots and AI coming for your jobs journalists? 😱

🚨 New Working Paper 🆕 Discussions about new disruptive technologies often have a tone of inevitability. For example, it is popular to attempt to estimate the number of jobs which will be automated in the future, because technology is expected to advance at a certain rate. 1/

25% of German firms provide childcare (on site!). This seems to provide retention benefits to firms: mothers are more likely to return to work AT the firm they were previously employed at. (It doesn’t seem to affect the return to work decision overall)

@MartinHaus93 @annastansbury Thanks a lot  for the question! It is the latter, so 25% of workers are in those firms. (And some of the firms in this number may also provide/buy off-site services for their workers to be complete.)

@annastansbury Is it 25% of German firms or 25% of German employees working in a firm providing childcare on site?
