We can definitely add SOL rewards as an option for creators later on. But we think the main system should stay token-based because it’s more flexible and sustainable for most launches. For example, what’s more attractive for a growing token/community pool: a pool funded with 100M tokens, or just 3 SOL? SOL rewards make more sense for higher market cap projects. For smaller launches, token rewards are usually the better way to build participation and activity around the ecosystem.

You can say it was more of a phase to fix things properly and come back better. Back then we had some bugs, failed attempts, and issues causing a lot of unnecessary FUD around the project.
