I have on good intel that the Magic City promotion was a poached idea from an ad agency in Atlanta that proposed the promo in a pitch meeting. The Hawks did not hire the agency in the end and just took the idea as their own! 🙃

Hawks hung in there with Magic City promotion as long as they could but too much league pressure, squawking from other teams and possibly other outside forces put Hawks in tough spot. Kudos for trying to pull off a legendary promotion and understanding what our culture is about.

We should have a larger convo about how companies like American Eagle use beautiful people to add glamor to unglamorous products. In 2023, a young Bangladeshi woman committed suicide at a factory that made American Eagle clothes bc of abuse. This is the cost of cheap clothes.
