I like how Pelley's entire vision, strategy and tactics were blind sided by Buffalo and Montreal actually outperforming the MLSE front office, let alone on the ice. Pelley was RELYING upon other teams to be lousy. That was the vision.

Pelley is another Brendan Shanahan with needing a stooge GM underneath. "oh I negotiated a terrible deal for Rogers Sportsnet and NHL, so I can do this too". Look for a botched re-tread GM hire (Treliving 2.0) or a newbee just grateful for the title (eg Wickenheiser or Pridham)🫥
