It really is funny how different of a character he was back in season 1
He was actually kinda clever and smart back then, man was full on devising schemes all on his own that actually worked along with those mental issues and god complex which eventually overtook his whole character
Not that that decline was unjustified, obviously the whole show was about him going insane so it makes sense

In the comics, Anissa came off as much more of a spiteful hag in appearance. This made her raping of Mark really impactful. But in the show, she’s just a legitimately hot femme fatale bombshell - you can’t take it seriously.
