It’s been a year since Hax passed away. It is still unbelievable to me that his death was so quickly swept under the rug, and that the Melee community wants to pretend it never happened.
To me, Hax will always be a martyr. He was a victim of cancel culture, and was viciously smeared for telling the truth. He was against the corruption that plagues the Smash community, and risked everything to call it out.
After his ban, he lost everything: his career, his friends, his reputation, and his purpose. Instead of letting him compete, tournament organizers called him mentally ill and conspired against him, causing him to take his own life.
Hax’s death will always be another reminder that if you’re on the wrong side of the community, they will not care if you are dead.
Hax was a hero. I’ll never forget him.

May you live in our hearts and minds forever 💜💙

@ped8NvmoIGHyXCg Id consider Lan to be the most flexible character in the game. He has an answer to any solution if you look hard enough. He does struggle more against fast characters, but he has the tools to deal with that still. His tornado still hasn't been fully explored as well.

@ped8NvmoIGHyXCg I definitely think Japan has stronger ICEY players, so I won't fully disagree with you. Instead Ill just plead my case for why I believe Lan is the best in the game. Lan is capable of playing both passive and aggressive. He also has the ability to stall off stage. 1/2

This character really has infinite potential. If there were more Lan players in America I think he would be unquestionably top 1 in the game. #flashparty #フラパ #フラッシュパーティー

@ghotpocket I'd also like to say, the community focuses too much on Nintendo this, Nintendo that. The community has all the resources to succeed. It doesn't need Nintendo's support; it needs better leadership.
English

@ghotpocket It's simply because the community/TO's consistently are too afraid or disorganized to properly ban problematic players. Standards need to be higher but they aren't. Either that changes or the future of competitive smash will look bleak.
English

it is actually insanely remarkable how undeserving smash players are. every. single. thing. that are GOOD things in the community has been destroyed by the biggest losers i have had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing. circuits, online smash, sponsorships. all good avenues gone.

@InvisGank @PlayFlashParty @LiquidHbox The top players are giving Invis our full support. We want to see this game grow. Many of the issues during the steam release have been fixed. Devs directly listen to the players too. Patches are resumed and the balance changes were done after a poll was filled from the players.

Been toying with the idea of hosting a big tournament with a decently large cash prize for @PlayFlashParty to try and bring more attention to the game. Was wondering is @LiquidHbox would be able to help with something like this. I don't mind funding the entire thing, PLEASE LMK.
