@KiwiEV One of our best investments. Cost 4yrs ago in Australia was $8.5k for 12.8kw system, it has already saved us $12.2k. Combined with an EV it’s just brilliant. Shout out to @SolarAnalytics for their monitoring and ROI tracking system, it’s been fantastic.

@OskaArcher @SolarAnalytics Good, but it could be better. You can't scale the graphs which sucks. And you can't edit your own measurement channels.

I really need to change that hot water timer back a few hours. Even in winter my solar starts at 7am, and the hot water heap pump only takes 1kW.

@eevblog @IanSJohnston We cant get data from PVOutput, but we can monitor all of your solar systems and energy usage (for any solar inverter combination). We can also get your retail energy meter data using CDR - so your energy tariff is automagically updated - easier for us to get you the best plan

@IanSJohnston @SolarAnalytics Ideally I'd want Solar Analystics to support it, because it's the only system I have that monitors the combined solar output of both of my independant systems.

So, today they installed my Deye hybrid inverter, and this is what happened: - They couldn't figure out how to get it working, string was producing only 30W. I eventually figured out the inverter it was in the wrong mode and the 30W reading is probably just a current resolution furphy. - Once string doesn't work at all, zero volts. Must be a broken connection up on the roof somewhere. They have now left to do other jobs, so I only have one string working. Yes, they failed to connect both the Enphase system last week AND now this one. Do I win a prize? - The electrican didn't have a multimeter so had to borrow mine. - The AU stock Deye wasn't set up to Australian standard mode by default, local dealer who sold it to me is not happy. Also the menu system sucks and is confusing as hell. Took ages but I finally figured out how to change the standard modes and freqency etc. - My @SolarAnalytics system failed at 7pm last night, doesn't connect to 4G, so I am currently without my primary tool for monitoring the installation. What are the odds? - The Deye WiFi system and online cloud system sucks arse and I still haven't figured out how it all works. And it's overcast and raining.

@eevblog We are seeing more communications hassles with Telstra shutting down their 3G network. Unfortunately the 4G network does not have as good range. If you get repeated drop outs we can provide a hi-gain antenna,

@eevblog @eevblog your @SolarAnalytics is back up and working (assuming I am looking at the right site). What a nightmare installation experience. Make sure you update the configuration data once your system is working properly so we can accurately monitor your system

Thing is Dick, you were wrong then and are even more wrong now. The Fed gov has commissioned multiple reports into energy, and both the Howard and Morrison reports concluded Wind + Solar is much cheaper.

@elonmusk This I wholeheartedly agree with. Not only for any political party, but for any person period. The world is not made up of "good" people and "bad" people, we all do some good and some bad. The political party I support aligns closest with my values, and will do the most "good".
