Good luck to everyone who posts Spotify Wrapped results whose favorite(s) made some… “interesting” decisions this year.

…and no, I didn’t find the light. Just in case you thought my actions were going to avoid on-the-nose Summer SAD imagery.

I looked for an LED flood light. I found a microphone, a Stylophone, and a microphone tube preamp I thought was lost or stolen a decade ago. So, that’s how putting my mind back together is going.

@M_Birnbaum I finally log back onto this account and am met with this. Lesson learned is that I gotta log on more.

Musicians will literally argue in favor of streaming services whose revenue share amounts to exposure and a coffee. No one’s saying you don’t grow your audience. Just value yourselves enough to want more.

Experiment, yet be nostalgic! Hide full compositions after a significant amount of quiet. Try putting a grindcore album after 15 minutes of silence!

(Which doesn’t mean the band leader was blameless. I just don’t directly know what happened.)

Pennsylvania was the state on tour where the gig somehow evaporated, and the promoter couldn’t be reached. That’s how far I’m going with anything resembling an opinion of there, for now.

The levels of denial involved in being a music artist right now and saying “tour” in the present tense at this point, though

Granted, it’s also that the night my own show was supposed to happen got booked out from under me. But hey… it’s why the day was clear. So.

One of the principal figures that helped hold me together in July might be why I make it to see @lykanthea live, this week.

“It’s pretty fortunate that I survived all of that” and then I was forced to extend farther. It’s what one does.
