I'm not always going to respond in a way that pleases everyone. I'm going to love some folk you don't like. I won't be rude to someone because others believe they have bad intentions. If that isn't my experience with them, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I have chatted with many young people over the years who have changed. I learned that some of them lost their mom and had never recovered. Just letting them know that I cared about them and that their outcome mattered to me, made a difference. The other thing is that some believed that they'd be rewarded for being loud and offensive. I showed them that being positive had its own advantages. My first instinct is love. Sometimes to a fault. But I can live with that. Parasocial is a label I've seen when some are referring to me. A label won't stop me from loving people who literally saved me. Now, I'm not stupid. There are nuts I block immediately. But I'm not fragile either. I appreciate that you are looking out for me. I just want you to know I have tough skin. Take care everybody. 💜
