Wind turbines are getting bigger, more efficient, and are delivering higher output. That sounds impressive, but it isn't compared to other sources.
A single nuclear plant, for example, produces around 1,750 megawatts. To match that, you need roughly 150 large turbines.
Wind uses over 100X more land than nuclear for the same output. And turbines, of course, only produce power when the wind is blowing. Nuclear is constant.
Then there's the storage requirements.
To make wind reliable, you need batteries. At grid scale, that becomes impossible with current technologies.
Wind power remains an expensive pipe dream, lining the pockets of a few at the expense of the many.

A study published in Nature's Climate and Atmospheric Science found that despite 70 years of rising CO2, Antarctica hasn't warmed.
Not even slightly.
The 'Polar Amplification Theory' claims rising CO2 should warm the poles fastest, due to feedback from melting ice and increased water vapor, which supposedly amplify the greenhouse effect.
But this isn't playing out.
Despite wild fluctuations in sea ice in recent years, from record highs to record lows in the space of a decade, Antarctica isn't warming.
The models may have melted the ice.
But reality didn't.

Mark Carney tente d’obtenir une majorité libérale coûteuse avec des ententes en coulisses, malgré le refus des électeurs.
En janvier, Marilyn Gladu a affirmé qu’un député qui change de camp devrait laisser le dernier mot aux électeurs lors d’une élection partielle. Je suis d’accord avec elle.
Les citoyens de sa circonscription ont voté pour un Canada plus abordable, plus sécuritaire et plus fort. Ils ont choisi les conservateurs, pas le gouvernement libéral coûteux qu’elle vient de rejoindre.
Elle devrait respecter sa parole et se soumettre au verdict des électeurs.

Mark Carney is seizing a costly Liberal majority that voters denied him, and doing so through backroom deals.
In January, MP Gladu said that floor crossers should face voters in a byelection to give voters the final say. I could not agree more.
She should do so. The people in her community voted for our Conservative vision of a Canada that is affordable, safe, and strong at home, not for the costly Liberal government she has now joined.
She should honour her word and let voters decide.
