Wait wait wait waaait a second.... He's saying he wants his $500,000 engineer to actually cost him $750,000 by using $250,000 worth of AI tokens. Wasn't AI supposed to make things cheaper, not cost 50% more?
TFTC@TFTC21

Jensen Huang: "If that $500,000 engineer did not consume at least $250,000 worth of tokens, I am going to be deeply alarmed. This is no different than a chip designer who says 'I'm just going to use paper and pencil. I don't think I'm going to need any CAD tools.'"

@Rahll @Bigpooppoop20 They’ll put out the 6090 in 2027 or 28. It’s always a few years between generations. I upgrade every launch.

@SplinterGoggles @Bigpooppoop20 Remember when they delayed the new gaming cards because of all the enterprise AI stuff? Have fun using the same card for the next 5 years.

Somewhat performant models are already being run on iPhones. Give it 5 more years of model optimization and intelligence improvements, combined with new hardware and it’ll be easy for a Desktop or MacBook. Like I said worst case, buy a $2k GPU in 5 years and spend 3k on electricity. It’s nothing compared to developer cost. And if it’s not 5 years then 10. It’s soon in any case.

Donut Lab is showcasing real 100kWh charging in a bike chassis, with their new solid-state battery. 10-80% charge in 12 minutes, without a liquid cooling system. Because these are solid state batteries, they don't have a cold penalty, can be used for essentially unlimited cycles, don't degrade with discharge over time, and allow for more energy density (range) given the same weight and size. That means a 300-mile EV could be a 500 mile, a 500 mile becomes a 700. Plus, the benefits above. Also, they don't use rare earth materials, making them both cheaper and easier to build anywhere. When these come to vehicles, they will almost completely eliminate the advantages ICE held over EV's. EV adoption will take off IMO. electrek.co/2026/03/16/don…

@TFTC21 His only miscalculation is that it will cost money long term. It will run locally on OSS if needed. Paid models will allow local compute for a small fee. Cost will be small for text based model inference (code).

@JohnLeFevre They just don't have the attention span for it anymore. Look at the data, most young kids are just doom scrolling their life away. No socializing, drinking, hanging with friends, having sex. The phones won.

Basics are provided today, but the reality is the tech that's going to make all this possible isn't fully here yet. Don't use anything you see today or in the past as a reference for what's about to happen, this has never happened before. Robots will be growing food, driving semi's (or more likely driving itself with a robot unpacker), painting crosswalks, cleaning streets, picking up garbage, everything. Humans will be recipients of their labor.

🚨 Let me explain what Jeff Bezos is actually doing here.. > He already automated the warehouse workers with 750,000+ robots.. replaced checkout cashiers with cameras.. tested drone delivery.. built robots that move faster than humans.. > Now he's raising $100 billion to BUY entire manufacturing companies.. not to run them.. to automate them.. he's not investing in factories.. he's buying them to empty them.. > This is a man who built Amazon by undercutting every small business in America.. who crushed bookstores, malls, and retail chains.. who made same-day delivery possible by burning through workers so fast they literally ran out of people to hire in some cities.. > And now he's coming for the last thing left.. the factory floor.. the one place people said "AI can't do this.. you need human hands".. $100 billion.. not to create jobs.. to buy the companies that have them and remove the people inside.. your factory job survived the recession.. survived outsourcing.. survived COVID.. it won't survive a billionaire with a shopping list and a robot..

🇺🇸 Rama Duwaji (Mamdani’s wife) just nuked an old social media account after the internet found her greatest hits: calling terrorists “awesome” and dropping the n-word. Classic move: delete everything and hope nobody screenshotted. Except, they did. When your wife’s digital footprint looks like a terrorist fan page meets 2012 Tumblr, maybe don’t run for mayor of NYC. Source: @visegrad24

🇺🇸🇵🇸 NYC's 1st Lady Rama Duwaji out here celebrating Palestinian plane hijacker Leila Khaled in old resurfaced posts. Mayor Mamdani's wife said Tel Aviv shouldn't exist, and that the rapes were a "mass hoax." Last but not least, she said, and I quote: “You can’t blame muslims for terrorism because they didn’t construct, fund nor train Al-Qaeda. White People did that, too.” Source: NY Post

Paint a picture of what jobs a human would be better at than a robot or AI in 10 years. The answer is nothing, or almost nothing. Capitalism is exactly why we won't be working, because it won't make sense to hire a human for anything. 30k once for a robot that works 24/7 without mistakes Or 50k ever year for a person. Not even close.

Tom Cruise interrupted filming of STAR WARS: STARFIGHTER by landing a helicopter on the set. “Tom Cruise flew his helicopter onto set. And they were just shooting and they heard a helicopter, they had to cut, and it was Tom Cruise. He lands in the middle of set, he takes a camera and just starts shooting an action scene.” (Source: youtu.be/KpjZl_WSVoY?si…)

I beat Death Stranding 2 on PS5 when it launched, but focused on the main storyline. I've been waiting for the Steam release to go all out with achievements and completion. Highly recommend this title to basically anyone.
