Few things beat the feeling of walking in super comfortable footwear. A dual 🇳🇿/🇦🇺, raised just beneath the 45th parallel.

@TariaoSilva @konstructivizm Just Mount Cargill doing Mount Cargill things.
Sees that cloud coming in from the south and says ‘Yep, I’ll be keeping me some of that.’
English

@konstructivizm Of course the only cloud over the whole island is directly above Dunedin

@mypiratevoice @zanehengsperger 🤔🤔🤔
One polite way of putting it would be: it’s an element of the breeding process.
English

when spacex was getting started, the first and last men to walk on the moon testified before congress against it.
gene cernan told congress commercial space companies "do not yet know what they don't know."
he said the boeings and lockheed martins were "the folks who have been working on everything we've done for the last 50 years. they know how it can be done."
neil armstrong said he was "not confident" the newcomers could achieve their goals.
together with jim lovell they warned it would put america on "a long downward slide to mediocrity."
spacex now launches more rockets than every country on earth combined.
the experts will always tell you it can't be done. build it anyway!

@adocomplete Technically, if I add a 0 to my hourly rate 48.07 (48.070)or my semi-monthly check, they’ll be the same since, assuming they’re not a whole dollar amount, adding a 0 at the end of a decimal is the same number. Adding a 0 to 100k gives you waaaaaay more.
English

@mypiratevoice @zanehengsperger Here in 🇦🇺, depending on context ‘root’ has an alternative meaning.
That said, your sentence remains accurate.
English

@rugbyphilosophy Simply my take… but the other officials who had the chance to contradict BOK’s conclusion blew it.
It’d have only needed one of the them to say something like ‘Ben, you certain about yellow carding the blue player? You wouldn’t want to take just one more look at this?’
English

This is INSANE. You can see him look up, spot the defender, then lean his head into him. Absolutely insane.
Scoop 🐻 ☕️@Rugby_Scoop
So ball carriers can headbutt defenders?
English

Once operated a large(ish) backpackers hostel in Port Campbell, on the Great Ocean Road.
Had a young family show up, one dark and wintery night. Mum had been driving. She was deadset certain she’d departed Melbourne earlier that day, and headed east. Was prepared to debate to her last that we *had* to be in Lakes Entrance.
Lakes Entrance is about 320 km east of Melbourne.
Port Campbell - via the GOR - is about 290 km very much west of Melbourne.
Completely opposite direction.
English

@greenmachine2_0 Brilliant in more ways than simply the obvious.
English

@ChalynRugby Brilliant dummy, but... secure the ball in the other hand in that situation, Rieko. We were taught that when we were playing in the U8s.
English

Rieko Ioane with a sensational try to finish off Edinburgh for Leinster in their Champions Cup win.

@UlisesDavid__ A task that REALLY wouldn't be suitable for anyone with long hair...
English

@cuthbertscoast @infosec_fox Then the: "Contact your system admin."
"Who's that?"
"Your system administrator."
"Ummmm... yeah. But WHO is that person?"
" ."
"You there?"
"Yes. What's up?"
"Who is my system administrator?"
"Your system administrator."
"WHO is that person?"
" ."
English

@infosec_fox "I can't save it. Somebody else is editing it."
"Who?"
"You, actually"
English

@AnnaSHarper @Filhab3 I always keep a bucket of water and a large toilet plunger nearby, for the inevitable power outages in my ‘hood.
English

@Dr_McCockliffe @Filhab3 Hehe ….. might come in handy if flush still works 😜
English

@Dr_McCockliffe @jrodbourn Wonder why they don’t/haven’t thought about it. Could combine it with nz tourism (funding) and make it a semi advertising event for Queenstown to Aussie and afar audiences etc.
English

@hayden_viles @KoroTeeps @CraigNorenbergs @dailytelegraph @NZRugby @AllBlacks @NZWarriors @NZRugbyLeague U55?
If he can’t make it in rugby, there’s a guaranteed role as a coxswain in any premier rowing eight across the country.
English

@KoroTeeps @CraigNorenbergs @dailytelegraph @NZRugby @AllBlacks @NZWarriors @NZRugbyLeague We’ve got plenty of small white boys, but they have plenty of ticker and the positive thing in Welly is that we have restricted weight grade options for the lads. A recent leaver played u55kg first year of high school, now signed with the Highlanders.
English

From today’s @dailytelegraph… chipping at @NZRugby and @AllBlacks.
Great for @NZWarriors @NZRugbyLeague … #NRL

On toast.
Let toast cool, slightly.
Butter said toast - butter must melt, but not melt into the toast.
Then, apply a thin spread of Vegemite to the now-fully-plastic-like butter; you’re essentially making a Vegemite/butter spread.
Ratio would be approx 1/1.
Bite into the toast/butter/vegemite.
Enjoy.
English

Dunno. You could point to the lack of a stadium as such… but, who’d care? It’d be ‘Easter Festivalesque’ rugby; a something a little different than the SR offering this far into the season.
International cricket matches are played at the venue, so the basic infrastructure and learned experiences they’d need for hosting and broadcasting are already there.
English

@jrodbourn @GregAFC Queenstown’s absolutely heaving over Easter. And with Wanaka being < 1 hour drive away; Cromwell about 30 minutes drive away… there’d be somewhere in the realm of 50,000 people (and probably more) within a 60 minute arc, all looking for something to do on the Saturday afternoon.
English

@GregAFC @Dr_McCockliffe Also even if the crowds weren't the best you have a lot of people sitting at home/with family - would have been a good opportunity to get some TV ratings you'd think.
