One of the accelerants to my leaving MAGA was FL Gov. Ron DeSantis, in Summer 2021, platforming COVID anti-vaxxers at his press conference. Given that he had been a vaccine proponent before this, his turn shocked and confused me. After this, I diversified my news and information sources, which led me to eventually leave MAGA.
