But hallelujah to CFR being gone from beta entirely. I hope it will also disappear from RP and even production. It really is stupid that the feature set of my laptop and desktop are different, despite running the same stable version of Windows.

Honestly, simplify it further. Let people pick between: - Test the next patch for your current version (what RP is) - Test the next feature update for your current version (what beta is) - Test the next platform version (what Can/Exp is)

Note how Huyn at no point ever claims that his team would be "replacing in-box web apps". An entire (very long) article to complain about people reading things that aren't there only to complain about something Microsoft never said. The irony.

Apple actually lowering the price of their Studio Display XDR with €400 is genuinely weird. When have they ever done something like that? It's a great step, because €400 for a metal plate was equally as dumb as €1000 for a stand. But still weird that it happened (so quickly).

@Studio384 As much as Windows 8.1 was my favourite, the piss pyramid got burnt into my retina. I don't know who approved it when the Start screen had multiple beautiful artworks, yet the desktop had zero consistency with it. The beta wallpaper was much nicer, too.

The default Windows 10 wallpaper was honestly one of the worst default wallpapers Windows has ever had. Not because it was ugly, but it simply didn't work with the look Windows 10 had. The transparent taskbar might as well have been opaque...

@xRenanferraz @WorkWombatman Again, what does that have to do with anything? If you don’t further the conversation, just don’t comment. The release notes mention the wrong build. That’s it. I couldn’t care less about what build comes next, and certainly don’t need someone to explain how builds work…

@Studio384 @WorkWombatman Wait until Monday with another update, they will come with the latest build (day 26 or 27) in version 2604 or in the most advanced version of the system and you will say if I said a lot of things without relevance, I just tried to help with what I said.

@Studio384 @WorkWombatman Actually, they run the tests internally on all the rings before it reaches the insiders, which are us... That's why the builds for us come at most 3 days before the current day, sometimes they come 1 day before because they were 'rushed', let's say.

It's downright idiotic that something that is so heavily pushed as part of WIP got so little attention and is such a mess. This update seems to make some improvements, but there is still plenty of work to be done. At least it finally fits in with Windows 11's design...

I hope this is the first signs that A/B testing - at least in its current form - is getting kicked out of the @windowsinsider program. Hell, even if they only give us a flags page like so many browser have so we can control it ourselves through built-in tools.
