Diplomatic engagements are conducted on behalf of Pakistan as a whole, under its constitution and national flag, not as extensions of domestic political competition. Former Economic Advisor and DG Debt Dr Ashfaque H Khan raised questions for Advisor to Fin Min Khurram Shahzad: During my 11 years stay at the Ministry of Finance, I had floated four Eurobond and one Sukuk in international markets. Based on my experience, I would like Khurram Shehzad to clarify my following queries 1) Khurram has claimed " strong market demand " for Pakistani paper. Hence , which international banks were our lead managers ( J.P. Morgan/ Citigroup/ Barclay / HSBC etc) . How these Lead Managers were selected? 2) In which " Market " we floated our bond ( Asian , European, US markets) 3) How was the book building process go ? In other words, what was the size of the book building? What was our initial target to raise money? What was the total demand we received? 3 ) Can Khurram share the composition of the investor demand ? Or or this was simply a private placement and we ask one bank to raise money for us . That particular bank gave us $ 500 million and we handed over our paper to that particular bank to sell in the " market" on its own ? Who was that bank ? Standard Chartered? I will be grateful for this clarification.
