@TenOneDesign Would the Mountie+ work with an iPad Pro 9.7"? I'm curious if the over-spec for my iPad would be better than just the regular Mountie?

@bindermichi We’d prefer that as well, though the NFC ability/experience on iPhone is still intentionally limited by Apple. Fingers crossed we see greater accessibility to NFC in future iOS.

@nuclearfootie Yes! We’ve used Sidecar and Duet Display at the same time to extend the MBP desktop to two iPads. Its tricky enough to setup that we do not do this frequently, but a pretty awesome experience!

Finally got my #WifiPorter by @TenOneDesign setup months after buying it. Reason it took so long? Poor instructions and disconnect between reality and marketing. It seems to be a great device. I wish the instructions didn't suck.

@MikeNovia Sadly, no. Mountie+ works great with iPad Pro, but is not compatible with iMac.

@TenOneDesign will the mountie+ work with a newer iMac and 11" iPad Pro?

@TenOneDesign I just bought a WiFi Porter and am also running iOS Beta (Public, not Dev). Do you need any other testers?

@darrenkwok A helpful trick is to mount the iPad as low as possible, even placing on a table if needed to help balance.

@TenOneDesign Hmm, that's concerning, the Surface book is already quite top heavy. I'll just have to wait for the unit and see

@darrenkwok For instance, a 13” MBP will have enough base weight when a 11” iPad is mounted to have a sturdy setup. However, the 12” MB has a much loghter base weight and mounting that an 11” iPad will cause imbalance.

@TenOneDesign Without callipers it's hard to be precise however I think it's between 7.5 and 8mm thick. Next question is with the weight of an 11" iPad pro, will the hinge of the surface hold up?

@darrenkwok Good question. Because of how Mountie is designed, having an iPad mounted won’t cause additional strain on the hinges. I would recommend keeping an eye on the weight ratio though. Larger iPads mounted to lightweight laptops can cause the setup to be off balance.
