Raptors ideally want to send out more salaries than LaMelo Ball's $40.8 million since they're up against the luxury tax line, but it'll cost them draft picks.
Unless the Hornets like the draft equity the Timberwolves and Raptors have to offer, they're more likely to get the players they desire by expanding the trade and involving another team.

The Wolves can expand the Julius Randle trade to acquire LaMelo Ball. They'd want to do a 100 percent salary match so they can exceed the first apron, which can be done by including Donte DiVincenzo. Then it's about adding draft picks & young players to incentivize Charlotte.

Right after Emanuel Sharp was picked, Houston coach Kelvin Sampson got a phone call from Kings GM Scott Perry.
“Emanuel has a pathway to the floor,” Sampson said by phone from Tampa, Fla. “They’re drafting him to come in and play. That’s an awesome opportunity for him.”

Pretty funny to watch Kings fans on this app I would say 60% are thrilled with the draft (count me in this group) 20% not happy and 20% trying to figure out how they feel. Time will tell but excited to have 3 guys joining summer league with Cardwell, Max and Nique this summer.
