When I was a boy, my English teacher, Humphrey Twomey, taught us the value of critique. Read something. Don't rush to judgement but consider it from every angle. Each boy in the class was then allowed his own opinion. Whenever I encounter instant outrage here, I miss Mr. Twomey.

#OnThisDay 1943 Captain Joseph "Tiny" Beglin from South Circular Road, Dublin was killed at Capracotta, Italy while serving with the Inniskilling Fusiliers. The Beglins lost three sons & a brother-in-law was a POW in a Japanese camp.

RIP Jim. From the deliveries of cakes and jellies to the office and the social outings there was always a bit of craic and good conversation with Jim. Plenty of advice taken on board since I started out with @Videosonthenet in 2013. Thinking of John and his family.
