Since we are using football analogies: It’s like joining a football team because it’s the only way to get on the field. You put on the jersey, but you spend every day telling everyone the team is terrible, the coach is awful, and the organization deserves to lose. Then, when it’s your turn to carry the ball, you expect those same teammates to block for you. If you’re on the team, then be on the team. Push us to be better. Challenge us. Make us stronger. Every good team needs that. But don’t just use the team so you can get on the field. At some point, you’ve got to be willing to block for somebody else, help recruit new talent, and make the whole team better. Because if the team loses, everybody loses.
