It is important in all theological discussions to correctly understand the terms used and ideas being discussed. In this matter of whether or not Catholic bishops today can elect the next true Pope through an extraordinary election, it is not helpful to mischaracterize this by throwing out the term "conclavism" and simply saying "ridiculous!" An imperfect council of bishops representing the whole church is something seriously discussed by the most noted theologians in the past.
