They say all good stories must come to an end. But Bank of Bala’s will continue on, because he’s not done yet. A new era with BoB starts when Azurians reveal Aug. 17th Part 4 of 4 is now on @downavenue_ and in attached pics. The full 4 parts is 👇🏼 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚 The Bank of Bala, one of my finest achievements. From a street rat born in the Sprawls to owning the biggest bank (“one of the biggest” if Bank of Azur is reading) in all of Azurbala. How did we get to this point? How about a little story: In my late teens I had finally scrounged up enough Պarrow to escape the Sprawls and make my way to the Syndicate. Those earlier years are a story for another time. In any case, when I arrived in the Syndicate I stood out like a Daybreaker walking through the jungle in the dead of night. So I quickly “found” better clothing and spoke with an accent to appear cultured. After a less than dignified Azurian interaction with the largest bank (at the time), I knew how I would make my way in this world. Knowing nothing about banking or lending or really any kind of business, I started to build. Not knowing where the funding to complete each days work would come from, but knowing I had the drive to accomplish anything. Then it hit me, well… almost hit me. A blow dart came screaming past my head and lodged into my unfinished vault. A luminescent screen on the body of the dart lit up with a scrolling display that read “Mr. …” (Oops, we will skip my given name. How this dart had my name on its scroll, I may never know. Let’s stick with BoB) “…you need Պarrow, we need reliable access to our Պarrow on a discrete basis. We will be in touch.“ A rustle in the jungle behind me almost caused the need to “find” a new pair of pants. I turned just in time to see the glow of a Technomancer before it disappeared into the heart of the jungle. How about we call this a day. More on my quest for Պarrow soon. !Bala ♾️ ———————————— Ok then. I think we have all had enough time to process Part 1. We left off with a blow dart bearing a cryptic message barely missing my head and a mysterious Technomancer fleeing back into the deepest parts of the jungle… …I turned back to the dart to pull it out of the side of my vault to reread its message. After significant effort the body of the dart broke off from the spike causing me to stumble backwards, landing on a prickly pinabala fruit that had fallen from a nearby tree. Sitting there on the ground by my half built vault, I began to reread the luminescent message scrolling on the screen “…you need Պarrow, we need reliable access to our Պarrow on a discrete basis. We will be in touch. - 2”. The message went by again, but there was a 3 at the end this time, and then a 4. After the message repeated 10 times by the incremental counter, the dart began beeping, synchronized with a countdown on the display “10…9…8…”. I sat frozen for a few seconds before coming to my senses, realizing that when it reached 0, the results were not likely to be confetti and celebratory music. The countdown had reached 2 as I cocked my arm back to throw the body of the dart. As it hit the ground, the timer reached 0 followed by an explosion and the whole thing disappeared. Well, almost the whole thing. The spike was still in the side wall of my vault, and is actually still there to this day. Oops. I almost forgot.
