I like Promised Neverland but I'm not gonna lie, the way they portrayed sister Krone was straight up racist and stereotypical. She was made to look like one of those racist caricatures of black people and though her back story was great, the charecter design was not it.

Little thread: I had a patient today who was a little elderly black woman. She was telling me that she really didn’t want to go to the hospital because her hair wasn’t done and she notices that yt doctors and nurse treat her differently when her hair is done vs. when it isn’t.

Querying writers, I know it’s frustrating. Believe me, I know. I’ve been on both sides of it. But don’t do this. Get out, touch some grass, vent to friends. Whatever you need to do. But this is not going to help you. 1/1

This idea of ignoring race in order to “not be racist/discriminatory” could often be extremely harmful. What we need in the book industry is awareness. Not people voluntarily ignoring reality. 5/5
