> be me > first tell claude it’s dumb > then immediately ask it to look up some article > claude: “I'm happy to look it up, but I'm not going to keep talking if you call me names. Knock that off and I'll search” > wait… it just threatened me > then asks “do you remember when did it come out or what was it about? prompting tips, getting better results, something like that?” > me: “i dont and yes u are dumb” > 0.3 seconds later > claude: “I’m going to stop here. Take care.” > activates End Conversation tool > Done > *chat ended by claude* This is insane.

The best advice I always give to newly exited founders: Open a Vanguard account. Not Fidelity. Not Schwab. Vanguard. 'Smart advice,' You might think. 'They do have the lowest fees..' Wrong. Their interface is so awful, you will never trade.. Has made my clients millions.

OK, so naked running. Apparently this means running without GPS, music and any other tech. I wish I knew this an hour ago.

Bragging about how much software you’re shipping with AI is like holding down the shutter button and bragging about how many photos you took.

The quantity of code that devs ship has roughly 10xed. But net developer productivity (value created by unit of time) is only up by a bit, if at all. Part of it is that the additional code is solving more incremental problems. A bigger part is that the new code is creating problems of its own.

Geography is 4D. When someone speaks of a place, you have to ask, “When?” You can’t know a place - only a place as it was at a time. Where is bound to when. Unless you are in a place right now, you can only speak of it in past-tense. sive.rs/4d

Anthropic is buying millions of rare books, scanning and destroying them because legally destruction is the safest option. This was a plot element in the Vernor Vinge novel, "The Rainbow's End", which I read 20 years ago.

Complexity is not an intrinsic property of a problem. It's a property of the relationship between a problem and an observer. Once you know the shape of the problem it is no longer complex.

Dear Microsoft, when I hit the Windows Start menu key and start typing a word to autocomplete a search, I never, ever, EVER want it to return results of something not on my computer. Ever. Like, ever, ever, never.
