save a life by sharing. IF A PREGNANT WOMAN HAS SEIZURES OR EPILEPSY IN YOUR PRESENCE. DO NOT PANIC. UNCONTROLLED SEIZURES IN PREGNANCY CAN KILL (SUDEP) READ. SHARE. REPOST Dear Men and Women of this green planet, When the Body Forgets Its Balance: How to Hold a Pregnant Woman Through a Seizure I will speak as one who knows that fear is a faster runner than seizures, and that in moments like this, what saves lives is not noise but nearness, not panic but presence. If a pregnant woman seizes before you, the first gift you must offer her is safety. Lower her gently to the ground, and turn her to her side, and move away the stubborn furniture and the unkind edges of the world. Do not wrestle her body. Do not stuff her mouth with objects meant for silence. If you can, count the seconds, because time is not just time, it is information. And when the shaking refuses to end after five long minutes, or when it returns again and again like an unwanted echo, or when blood appears where skin should be whole, call for emergency help. Pregnancy makes seizures more dangerous, and so this is never a performance for spectators. This is a call for action. And when the storm inside her quiets, speak as though your voice were a soft cloth. Let her return slowly to herself. Many women wake from seizures with confusion and with shame, and shame is a heavier injury than bruises. Check her breathing. Loosen the tyranny of tight clothing. Do not offer water or food until her eyes recognize the room again. RCOG tells us that every pregnant woman who has a seizure must be medically reviewed, because sometimes seizures are the language of missed medication, and sometimes they are the grammar of sleep deprivation, and sometimes, rarely but dangerously, they are the whisper of eclampsia. This is not exaggeration. This is prevention dressed in plain clothes. To the women who live with epilepsy, I say this: your body is not defective, and your pregnancy is not disobedient. But it does ask for tenderness. Avoid what you know summons your seizures, missed doses, sleepless nights, thirst, stress, alcohol, and lights that flicker like bad memories. Take your medication faithfully, because stopping suddenly is not bravery; it is risk. RCOG advises regular antenatal care, and sometimes drug-level checks, and high-dose folic acid before and in early pregnancy. Your neurologist and your obstetrician should not be strangers passing in a corridor; they should be collaborators in your story. And to families and partners and friends: love her with your hands, not just your mouth. Remind her to rest. Guard her medication routine like a sacred timetable. Learn seizure first aid so that fear does not teach you cruelty. Shield her from stigma, not only from falls. A seizure is not a moral weakness. It is a neurological storm. And storms do better when someone holds an umbrella and stands close. Women with epilepsy can labour safely, and breastfeed safely, and raise children who grow into laughter and argument and ordinary miracles. But safety does not begin in the labour ward. It begins in the moment her body forgets its balance and the world decides how to respond. Be calm. Be kind. Be informed. In medicine, and in life, this is how we save two hearts at once.

Bianca Pullman et Jack Bauer. Both were passionate about their jobs. Both would always go the extra-mile for their jobs. For the both of them, their jobs came first before family. But, one was vilified for it, and the other considered a hero... Why?

Bianca Pullman was the type of police officer we all pray for. Passionate about her duty, and totally committed to ensuring criminals gets the punishment they deserved. But we all hated her for it. Why?
