Hi @bind9 ! I am trying to understand why the IPv6-sections in section 6.5 are placed under '6 Advanced Configurations'? I mean this: bind9.readthedocs.io/en/v9_18_10/ch… What is so advanced about those two simple sections (in particular 6.5.1) ? 🤔

@certbe @ISC FYI the ISC Twitter account is @ISCdotORG, you have tagged someone else. Also, these memory leaks are mostly limited to specific configuration options, so this is not the one to be banging drums about. But you are right, users should stay on top of the updates!

@BlazejKrajnak Actually we have looked at it at the time when the issue was created, couldn't reproduce, and now there is a comment on the ticket with some good debug information.

Great. 9 months after I reported broken serve-stale in @bind9, the ticket has been assigned. gitlab.isc.org/isc-projects/b…

Missing stable implementations of DoT and DoH and broken serve-stale forced me to move AS50242 from @bind9 to @KnotDNS Resolver. Well, 5% of DoT requests for the beginning: not bad.

@WinfriedAngele @jpmens We have that on our radar (gitlab.isc.org/isc-projects/b…) and the refactoring we are doing now of the 'stream' protocols will help implement it. Feel free to upvote that - we need to hear that ppl want it!

@jpmens All major DNS implementations seem to have a bright future. That's great! I'm just wondering why the "proxy protocol" wasn't mentioned in @bind9
