Unlike vibe coding tools like Lovable and Replit, Epic follows software engineering best practices that actually make your project last:
1) It carefully plans your project and breaks your idea down into small, manageable tasks (aka issues)
2) Before implementing each task, it researches and plans the approach — making sure it follows documented patterns and never duplicates code that already exists in your project
3) Each task runs in an isolated branch, so there's no risk of breaking what was already working. Happy with the result? You approve it and Epic merges it into main
4) All code is organized in a 100% AI (and human) friendly architecture (pages > behaviors > components), making it easy to understand and maintain even as your project grows
5) It also writes unit and e2e tests for every implementation, so you never ship broken code to production
The result is a codebase that's actually organized and reliable — one you can understand, maintain, and keep building on without being afraid to touch it.
