remember: 'insurance-selling companies' rely on fiduciary/wire fraud more so than any other 'company:' they reckon on 'an absence of claims' by peter 'in event A' to fund payouts for john 'in event B' - whilst both john and peter 'pay premiums' individually.

walmart $WMT, interest/fcf goes from 15% to 28%+... as net debt swells to pay for divs/buybacks (covered only 0.55x by fcf)... at $130 currently: 11x strip, whereas $20 puts it at 1.5x...

sainsbury update: fcf increases to £1.52bn v £1.28 - but most of that was from change in w/c getting more -ve: by £209m. currently at 1.2x strip. 200p puts it at 0.8x, whereas 500p puts it at 1.8x, whilst walmart $WMT (us peer) currently trades at 11.3x.

“…at the age of two, he (hardy) was writing down numbers up to millions; a common sign of mathematical ability…” 😂 writing down numbers? like 11,898? how did establishing such genius work in roman times?

“the council bought the bridge and the toll was removed.” great. but how is the bridge maintained? tina in her bmw estate shifting cabinets doesn’t think about that. maybe ‘road tax’ should be ‘bridge toll’…?

“how much is this painting? it has no price tag.” > “it’s £20 madam.” “did you just make that up?” > “no, i know the dealer.” “will you take £15?” > “i’ll call the dealer.” 📞 > “it’s actually £95 madam.”

bmw bank: sharp reduction in loan book by €3.7bn (v increase of €6.7bn 24/23!) accompanied by €1.2bn extra in cash prov.: yet still, after all of that, net position drops by €1.7bn to €3.5bn v €5.1bn! and 'asset' to turn into 'liability'... $SPX $NDX $F

with bid/offer spread of some commodity, eg 5.3@5.3, we automatically have change in quantity of commodity (and contra-commodity) across all market participants… but is there something that ‘5.3’ ‘in maths’ already has like ‘5.3@5.3’ ‘in economics’…?

“for all epsilon greater than zero, there’s exists delta such that yadda yadda yadda…” is how we ‘define’ a ‘function’ being ‘continuous’ at ‘a point’ assuming metrics/topology… but what does theory of functions look like outside of positivist set ups?

everything that’s required of ‘calculation with numbers’ is inherently in place/value/radix. calculus isn’t about ‘infinite sums’ of ‘the infinitely small’…

“it’s a simple ratio…” but ratios in place/value/radix/basis aren’t that simple… concept of ‘determinants’ do not start with ‘matrices’…!!!

occidental obsession with ‘finding roots of polynomials’ is to do with ‘internal interest rates on enterpris’ v ‘state interest rates on bonds’ - usury comparisons… originated in medieval times, not modern ‘mba s’…

the bricks cost 50p each and pete will lay them (plans provided) for 50p each. to go from that to ‘£500,000 flat with £1,000 annual service charge’ deserves some investigation…

‘£69m council loan’ -> ‘house builder’ ‘house builder’ -> ‘582 homes by 2028.’ … ‘house builder’ says 530 homes by 2032. and so on… whilst ‘house builder’ takes their ‘10% cut’ straight to dubai…

"defence is a good investment" - classic 'golf club logic' - because 'military contract' translates into 'higher share price'... defence index $LMT $RTX $BA $GD $HON $RYCEY down from 197x in '19 to 100x, friday... with $HON at 10x ev/strip (!) v sainsbury's, say, at <0.8x.
