Harshit Rana got endless backing coz he's from KKR. Now Rajat Patidar keeps getting ignored coz he's from RCB. Gambhir is starting to look less like India's coach & more like a franchise loyalist. Misusing a position of power to push personal biases is never a good look.

I get why Patidar couldn't find a place. GG likes to fill the team with all rounders and Shreyas has a better captaincy pedigree. Tilak hasn't done anything wrong in T20Is to lose his place. But Agarkar could have been more compassionate when talking about why Rajat missed the bus. Kept hyping up Shreyas' batting form and dismissed Rajat by saying "we can't select all", and "we can't make everyone happy." Horrible.

It is Ishan Kishan who deserves India's vice captaincy not Tilak Varma. When & where Tilak Varma proved his captaincy credentials? Ishan Kishan on other hand has captained team India since age group cricket, captained a team like Jharkhand & won them trophies, captained SRH so successfully in absence of Pat Cummins & scored 300+ runs in his 1st ever world cup when Tilak Varma was shitting his pants at no.3 & had to be demoted in batting order.
