My sister interned at a prison. Even grandmother's come to visit men. The male ward is always fuller! We cannot marry a kind man our way out of the misogyny or pathriachy. So many men marry women for labour and when incapable, you'd be discharged. Only few women get cared for.

Go to the male wards at the hospital today; you will see women taking care of their husbands. Go to the female wards at the same hospital; you will hardly see men taking care of their wives. Who will you meet? Their sisters, close friends, mummy, MIL, and so on. Being kind ,caring and a supportive partner doesn’t make you a simp or a mumu or whatever they call it . ❤️&💡

Unrelated but this is a reason I’ve stopped talking to someone i was into Every time she came over, we either had to buy food, or I cook. Not once did she go into the kitchen. You’ll stay over for 2-3 days. I’ll leave the house to get the ingredients. I’ll prepare everything, make the food and she’ll eat. I’ll do the dishes too after. It was either that or I had to buy food that we’d eat. Not once did she offer to cook or make us a meal except that one time I’d eaten and she made noodles for herself. Happened 3 times and after the third time, I just let her go
